Staffordshire Police want to speak to the man in the above photo after a bag was stolen in Biddulph.

The image, which shows the man in the McColl's store in Biddulph, was released as part of Staffordshire Police's weekly Wanted Wednesday, in which the force releases images of various people that they want to speak to in connection with incidents around the county.

Police have warned local residents to stay vigilant following a rise in catalytic converter thefts across the local area.

The warning comes as intelligence shows many of these crimes take place in broad daylight and in full view of members of the public.

Local police have thanked the majority of people who enjoyed Super Saturday safely and responsibly after pubs and bars reopened at the weekend.

The force had to prepare for a rise in demand, with new patrols and policing operations in place as the public headed out to their local premises.

As the Government's lockdown restrictions begin to ease, Staffordshire's Community Speed Watch volunteers are returning to the roadside from today (Monday, 6th July).

Following safety assessments, it has now been determined that the local volunteers can return to their speed monitoring duties this week.
