Local police have asked people not to swim in Knypersley Reservoir when they are enjoying the recent hot weather.

With temperatures heating up and swimming pools still closed, many people are looking for ways to take advantage of the sunshine.

Biddulph's pubs, restaurants, and a wide range of other businesses will soon be able to open their doors to the public after Boris Johnson announced the next stage of ending lockdown.

The changes will come into effect on July 4th - next Saturday - and could see the people of Biddulph as well as millions across Britain getting the first experience of their 'new normal'.

An application to fell a protected Biddulph tree is set to be refused

Plans to fell a protected tree in Knypersley are set to be refused by councillors later this week.

The application to Staffordshire Moorlands District Council's Planning Committee seeks consent to cut down a large, mature Pine tree, which is protected by a tree preservation order and located near the grounds of 121 and 123 Tunstall Road.

A Biddulph A-road has been named as the slowest in Staffordshire Moorlands

The slowest A-road in the Staffordshire Moorlands is located in Biddulph, new figures have revealed.

Data published by the government's Department for Transport last week revealed that the slowest A-road in the district, at an average speed of just 23.2mph, was the A527.
