It isn't long now before Biddulph is once again bathed in Christmas lights and the town has a distinctively festive feel.

And details have now been confirmed for Biddulph's upcoming Christmas lights switch on, which is one of the most popular events of the year in the town and sees residents gather on the High Street to see the lights in all their glory for the first time of the year.

Like most events around the country, Coronavirus restrictions meant a Christmas lights switch on could not take place in Biddulph in 2020, but we are pleased to report that the switch on will be back as normal this year.

The event will take place on Saturday, 27th November on Biddulph High Street from 4pm.

There will also be a fair and a market to keep residents entertained while waiting for the big switch on.

A spokesperson for Biddulph Town Council said: "We are so pleased that we can proceed as normal with our Christmas Lights Switch On.

"The fair will be here along with the Christmas market and of course if we are good we may get a visit from Santa!"
