Police have appealed for information after meat laced with rat poison was again left at a Biddulph beauty spot.

Chicken laced with what appeared to be rat poison pellets was found by volunteers who look after Newpool Meadows Village Green in Knypersley.

It is not the first incident of its kind - Biddulph Nub News reported back in April how red pellets believed to be rat poison were left at the green.

Police have today appealed for information following a new incident of the pellets being found.

A spokesperson for Staffordshire Police's Moorlands team said: "We're appealing for information after reports of food, laced with rat pellets, being left on Newpool Meadows village green in Knypersley.

"Anyone with any information should call 101 quoting incident number 498 of 15 July or email [email protected]."
