Police investigating after teenage girl "approached by man" in Biddulph

Police have issued an appeal for information after a teenage girl was "approached by a man" in Biddulph last night.

The incident occurred just before 6pm yesterday (Monday), on Thames Drive, with police now checking the area's CCTV in the hopes of tracing the man.

Any witnesses or anyone with any information has now been asked to contact Staffordshire Police as part of their investigation.

A spokesperson for Staffordshire Police said: "Police are investigating after it was reported that a teenage girl was approached by a man on Thames Drive in Biddulph at around 5.45pm on Monday 7 September.

"He is described as tall, in his 30s, wearing a blue tracksuit with the hood up. The girl was not harmed and ran away.

"Officers are carrying out enquiries, including CCTV, to trace the man.

"Any witnesses or anyone with any information can report online or call 101, quoting incident number 550 of 7 September."
