Biddulph residents have been welcomed to go along and enjoy a free dementia friendly cinema event in the town centre tomorrow (Wednesday).

The cinema, which is being held at Biddulph Town Hall on the High Street and run by Biddulph Town Council, will be showing the 1953 Doris Day film By The Light Of The Silvery Moon.

The town council regularly holds dementia friendly cinema events, where classic films are shown as a way of helping residents with dementia to reconnect with their memories.

The film starts at 1.30pm and is free to all, and also includes an interval with free refreshments!

A spokesperson for Biddulph Town Council said: "Join us for a free showing of the warm-hearted classic By The Light Of The Silvery Moon.

"Open to everyone and suitable for those living with dementia.

"Includes free refreshments during the intermission."
