Almost £3,000 has now been raised in memory of a Biddulph woman who suddenly passed away recently.

Biddulph Nub News reported recently how a fundraiser was launched in memory of Biddulph woman Sam Stubbs, who passed away suddenly aged 36.

And thanks to the amazing support of the Biddulph community, a total of £2,700 has now been raised - money which will go towards helping Sam's partner Kyle and daughter Alanah, and help to pay for the funeral.

Sam was well known in the Biddulph community for working at the popular café Suki's Snax on the High Street.

In an update on the fundraiser page, Sam's sister Bonnie McGregor, who set up the fundraiser, said: "First of all, I would like to thank everyone for their support! without you, things would be a lot different.

"Sam was well known for working at Sukis Snax and her job was making sure that the meals on wheels for the elderly ran smoothly and her meals fed many of our elderly in our community.

"We as a family understand that asking for donations to help with costs is a big ask from our community, we do not take this lightly.

"The family absolutely appreciate the donations received and they themselves have donated to similar fundraisers."

The fundraiser is still live, and if you would like to donate click here.
