Almost £500 worth of criminal damage on Biddulph benches

Police are investigating damage to multiple cast iron benches in Biddulph.

A trio of benches have been wrecked on St. Lawrence's Parish Church on Congleton Road.

Staffordshore Moorlands Police said in a statement: "On Tuesday 29 March) we received a report of criminal damage at St Lawrence Church, Biddulph, to three public cast iron benches.

"They are located on the path between the church and the neighbouring school [Woodhouse Academy].

"The approximate value of damage is £450.

"Any witnesses or anyone with any information is asked to contact us, quoting 226 of 29 March."
