Biddulph: 10-hour thunderstorm warning issued for tomorrow
The Met Office has issued another yellow thunderstorm warning for Biddulph and its surrounding areas for tomorrow, with the town set to be hit by storms on Thursday (8th September).
The warning is in place from 10am - 8pm on Thursday this week, with heavy showers and thunderstorms predicted in the town throughout the day.
The Met Office says there is a small chance that homes and businesses could be flooded quickly, with damage to some buildings from floodwater.
They have also warned that spray and sudden flooding could lead to difficult driving conditions and some road closures.
The warning also comes with the advice that, where flooding or lightning strikes occur, there is a chance of delays and some cancellations to train and bus services.
The warning is in place for almost all of the UK, excluding only London and the South-East of England.
Forecasts have predicted showers on Friday and the rest of the weekend, before the rain dissipates for a dry week next week.
