A kids' football team in Biddulph have set themselves a unique challenge to raise money for charity!
Players at Biddulph Rovers FC are challenging themselves to cover 5 kilometres every day throughout the month of May to raise money for Cash4Kids.
Chash4Kids is a charity that works to improve the lives of children in the UK who are affected by issues such as poverty, illness or neglect.
The team are taking on the 5k challenge in the form of a relay, meaning each player is taking it in turns to cover the 5k each day.
They can cover the 5k in a number of different ways, and there has already been some good variety, with the participants running, cycling and even swimming their 5k - the latter of which took three hours!
The team have raised £70 so far and are aiming to reach their next target of £100.
Reeds Rains Estate Agents in Congleton are the club's sponsor and the money is being raised on the Reeds Rains Cash4Kids fundraising page.
The fundraiser is live now, so if you would like to donate then please click here.
A spokesperson for Biddulph Rovers FC said: "Throughout May, our sponsor Reeds Rains estate agents in Congleton is working in conjunction with Cash4Kids to raise money for under privileged children.
"On top of their already busy schedule, our 8-9 year old players have accepted the sponsorship challenge of completing a 5k distance per day on a rota basis (different player each day throughout the month). This can be achieved by running, walking, or cycling.
"Please use the link to sponsor our little superstars and to support an excellent cause."
