A Biddulph boy will be appearing in the grand final of a TV cooking show starring Fred Sirieix from First Dates tonight.

Cameron, aged 12, will be appearing on the final of 'Step Up to the Plate' - a CBBC show that has young contestants going up against eachother to see who would be best at running their own restaurant.

Cameron impressed in the semi-final and will be hoping to do the same tonight (Tuesday) in the final, which is on at 5pm.

The star dish that saw Cameron advancing from the semi-finals into the final was his seared salmon with root vegetable fries, and a dessert of crepes with caramalised apples.

If you'd like to support Cameron tonight tune in to CBBC at 5pm to see how he fares in the final. Good luck!
