Police aimed to tackle speeding drivers in Biddulph over the weekend by setting up a speed gun on one of the main roads running through the town.
Officers were in Biddulph yesterday (Sunday, 9th August), keeping a lookout for speeding drivers on the A527 Congleton Road.
It comes as part of the police's recent focus on the 'Fatal Four' driving offences - speeding, using a mobile phone, not wearing a seatbelt and drink or drug driving.
However, police found only one vehicle to be speeding during their checks yesterday.
A spokesperson for the Staffordshire Police Road Policing Unit said: "Out in the Biddulph area of the Moorlands today supporting the Police Chiefs' Speed Campaign on the A527 Congleton Road.
"Only 1 vehicle was found to be driving in excess of the speed limit so they'll be hearing from us soon."
