A group of Biddulph lads have been showered with praise for buying food for a homeless man outside Sainsbury's on the High Street.
A local resident praised a group of "three or four young lads" for their act of kindness, saying that their parents should be "extremely proud of them".
A post on social media praising the group has proved popular with over 300 'likes' and over 50 comments so far.
The resident said: "A big shout out to the three or maybe four young lads who very kindly brought the homeless man outside Sainsbury's some food!
"They were hanging around whilst I was chatting to him, and wondered what they were up to.
"It turns out they were waiting patiently for me to leave so they could give him some munchies.
"The parents of these young lads should be extremely proud of them. It touched my heart.
"By the way, anyone who passes him, have a chat, he's a lovely fascinating man."
Dozens of residents have since praised the boys for their positive contribution to the local community, with one saying: "Well done to these young lads. There are too many negative comments about teenagers these days, probably because we only hear about the bad things they get up to as opposed to the good. So big respect to you guys, it's nice to be nice."
Another commented: "Goes to show that all teenagers aren't bad. They have good manners and feelings too, and to anyone else that gave a little bit of something to him also, you've done your good deed."
While a third added: "Their parents are obviously good people and brought their children up the correct way to show kindness and respect. Well done!"
