Local police officers have encouraged Biddulph's dog owners to "take responsibility" when walking their pets on Halls Road playing fields.

Officers have asked for dog owners to make sure they are in control of their pets when walking them on the playing fields so as not to impact other users of the green space.

The request came as officers patrolled the area last week.

A spokesperson for Staffordshire Police's Moorlands team said: "Halls Road Playing fields is a lovely area for all of us to enjoy.

"Local officers are requesting dog owners to take responsibility when walking dogs there, and ensure they have control of their pets.

"This will then not impact other users of this area."
