Local residents have been thanked for marking Remembrance Day at home in the time of Coronavirus this week.
Ordinarily, Remembrance in the Moorlands would have been marked with processions and gatherings. But this year, residents were urged to remember at home as the pandemic continued.
Some residents marked Remembrance by bowing their heads for a minute of quiet tribute at the doorsteps of their homes at 11am - in a similar way to when people held a minute's applause to show their appreciation for NHS workers during the first lockdown.
Now the chairman of Staffordshire Moorlands District Council has thanked local communities for sticking to the rules at this time.
Cllr Keith Flunder visited several of the memorials on Remembrance Sunday to pay respects on behalf of the District alongside the Town Mayors and a small number of local representatives and members of the local communities.
In Biddulph, a small act of Remembrance and the laying of wreaths took place at the cenotaph.
Cllr Flunder said: "We know that people across the district will have missed being able to participate in the usual services and ceremonies of remembrance this year and we thank everyone for their continued commitment to following the rules and helping to stop the spread of Covid.
"We worked closely with our partners in the Police, the Town Councils and local branches of the Royal British Legion to ensure that, collectively, we were able to honour the service and sacrifice of our service personnel and keep each other safe at the same time.
"I know that as we mark Armistice Day we can rely on the strength and resilience of our communities who will, once again, do the right thing and pay their tributes at home."
