Thanks to Cathy Cooper from Biddulph Slimming World for submitting the following column. Below, Cathy praises Biddulph slimmer Craig Doorbar for achieving a weight loss of over five stone.

Our fabulous member Craig Doorbar has lost over a staggering five and a half stone at our Biddulph Saturday Morning Slimming World group and has recently achieved Man of the Year and Greatest Loser awards.

Craig has not only food optimised to the full but embarked on a fitness regime throughout lockdown.

He was due to have surgery on his achilles heel, but when he saw his specialist this surgery was no longer necessary because of his excellent weight loss.

Craig intends to achieve his target weight well before Christmas.

Prospective members are encouraged to join by contacting Slimming World consultant Cathy on 07938 948425 as booking is essential in order to maintain social distancing in groups and to ensure all our safety in view of the Covid-19 situation.

New members can attend at 11 a.m on a Saturday.

Other groups meet at Biddulph High School, Conway Road, Knypersley at 8am, 9am and 10am once members have booked a place.
