A stand-up comedy show is being held in Biddulph to raise money for the town's community cafe.

On Saturday, 12th November, a range of comedians will take to the stage at Biddulph Town Hall in aid of the Green Tree House Cafe, who operate a community food club in Biddulph to support local people who may be struggling with their bills.

The event, which is being organised by Funhouse Comedy, promises to be a night full of laughter while also raising money for a great local cause.

The line-up of comedians is as follows:

  • Justin Moorhouse - Friendly Mancunian funnyman with TV credits, including Peter Kay's Phoenix Nights and Live at the Apollo.
  • El Baldinho - Absurd and very funny Tommy Cooper-esque magician, who has appeared on Britain's Got Talent.
  • Kevin Byron - One of the fastest rising comics on The Midlands circuit, this Scotsman is a comedy gem.
  • Dave Bryon - Compere

A spokesperson for Funhouse Comedy said: "Funhouse Comedy presents an evening of stand up comedy in support of The Green Tree House, who operate a community food club to provide affordable food, as well as a fantastic space for all the creative craft activities, great community support groups and wonderful events that The Green Tree House Charity delivers in its mission to support the communities of Biddulph, it's children and parents, young adults and its older generations.

"Three top professional comedians and a compere will keep you entertained for the night!"
