A planning application has been submitted to fell a row of trees in Biddulph Moor as part of a proposed new access route to a Biddulph Moor industrial yard.

The plans, submitted to Staffordshire Moorlands District Council by a Mr Tony Smith on behalf of Mitras Composites UK, relate to the access to the business's site just off New Street, Biddulph Moor.

The application seeks permission for: "Removal of trees and forming new private access drive to dwelling. Closing off existing access via industrial yard on health and safety grounds."

It's also proposed to create an additional eight car parking spaces for the site, taking the total number of spaces from 47 to 55.

As the plans were only submitted recently, further details on the proposals are currently scarce.

However, more information should become available as the application process continues.

Staffordshire Moorlands District Council will have the final say on the plans at a later date.
