A 19-year-old Biddulph footballer who has been turning heads at Stoke City has now secured a loan move.
Biddulph Nub News reported recently how promising young local footballer Adam Porter made his senior debut for the Potters in August in a 2-1 win for Stoke in the EFL cup, and has been in and around the first team this season.
Adam is now looking to cut his teeth in the lower leagues with more regular first team game time after securing a youth loan move of at least four weeks to National League club Altrincham.
Altrincham are currently 10th in the league with 19 points after 13 games.
And Adam has already got minutes under his belt, coming on as a substitute in a 2-2 draw against Gateshead in the FA Cup.
A league fixture against Boreham Wood is up next on Saturday 13th November, so it will be interesting to see whether Adam is handed a full debut in his first league game for the club.
Porter, who grew up in Biddulph and progressed through Stoke's academy since the age of six, recovered from an injury in the second half of last season to break into the Stoke City first team in what he described as "a dream come true".
He regularly captained Stoke's under 23s team, and has also captained the other youth levels that he has represented for the club.
Until recently, he was a season ticket holder alongside his family members before breaking into the first team. He's also still a member of the Potters' Knypersley and Biddulph Supporters Club.
Here at Biddulph Nub News we wish Adam all the best for his time in Altrincham!
