Residents have been welcomed to come along and enjoy a new evening market in Biddulph that is being held for the first time tomorrow.

A new Twilight Market is launching in the town with the first one being held on Friday, 6th May.

The market will be held in the usual place outside Biddulph Town Hall, but this time it will be held from 3.30pm - 7.30pm.

A spokesperson for Biddulph Town Council said: "We are really excited for tomorrow's first Twilight Market here at the Town Hall. From 9.00am till 3pm you can buy Fresh Fish from select Fish and pies from Cheshire Pie.

"We will have live music by the talented Samantha Lloyd from 4-6 and plenty of refreshments, and the Town Hall Bar will be open! We cant wait to see you all."

A spokesperson for Biddulph Town Council previously said that having the market at this later time would hopefully allow more residents to attend.

They said: "Covid has changed the way we all shop. We cannot change the day of the market here in Biddulph, but we would love it if more of you could attend.

"We would like to introduce the new Twilight Market. With something for everyone, we start at 3.30pm here at the Town Hall and on the frontage, we hope you can join us either straight from school, after a day out, or after work. Come alone, with your family or friends. Everyone is welcome!

"We will have music a bar and plenty of opportunities to shop and relax, ready for the beginning of the weekend. Come and support local traders and enjoy night time in Biddulph."
