Motorist taken to hospital after collision closes Brown Edge road

A motorist was taken to hospital after police and and an ambulance attended a crash in Brown Edge last night.

Staffordshire Police and West Midlands Ambulance Service were called just before 6pm yesterday evening (Wednesday 4th May) to reports of a collision on Breach Road.

The road was closed while emergency services attended the incident.

The crash involved two vehicles, with one driver and one passenger receiving minor injuries, while the other driver was taken to hospital.

Now Staffordshire Police have asked anyone who may have any information to contact them.

A spokesperson for Staffordshire Police said: "Police were called at 5.55pm yesterday to reports of a two-vehicle collision in Brown Edge. Officers attended the collision, involving a grey VW T-Roc and a black Range Rover, on Breach Road.

"The driver and passenger of the VW had minor injuries. The driver of the Range Rover was taken to hospital with injuries that are not believed to be life changing or life threatening.

"Anyone with any information about the collision should call 101, quoting incident number 500 of May 4, or call Crimestoppers anonymously, on 0800 555111."
