Where does Biddulph rank in the UK's nicest places to live?
For 2022, Knutsford-based property consultant Garrington have published a list ranking 1,372 cities, towns and villages in the UK based on how nice they are to live in.
So where does Biddulph rank in their list?
Biddulph has placed at number 682 overall out of the 1,372 areas that were analysed across the UK.
That's a huge improvement of 170 places compared to last year with the town only ranking at 852 in 2021.
The town placed low in terms of natural beauty - coming in 937th place.
However, its ranking was brought back up by its quality of life, which placed very highly at 187th.
And its architectural beauty ranked in 886th place out of the 1,372 areas.
The town also ranked in 822nd place for its greenness.
The report also revealed that the average family home in the town costs less than £350,000 giving it a rank of 295th out of the 661 areas in the same price band.
It also ranked as the 14th best place to live in Staffordshire out of the 28 areas that were analysed in the county.
The nicest place to live in Staffordshire was named as Kinver, which placed 242nd out of 1,372.
However, the least nice place to live in Staffordshire was Loggerheads, coming in as low as 1,145th out of 1,372.
Elsewhere in the Moorlands, Leek ranked 8th in Staffordshire and 529th in the UK, whereas Cheadle ranked 22nd in Staffordshire and 973rd in the UK.
The report claimed the nicest place to live in the whole of the UK was Bath, with the rest of the top 5 being made up by Lyme Regis, Salisbury, Caton and Kidwelly.
