Free parking provided in Biddulph to aid vaccine rollout - here's when you can park for free
As confirmed earlier today (Wednesday), a start date for Covid-19 vaccinations to take place has been announced for Biddulph.
Biddulph Nub News reported earlier how vaccinations will begin from this Friday (15th January) in Biddulph Town Hall.
Biddulph Town Council informed residents of various areas where they could park around the town hall to receive their vaccines, and until now, residents would have needed to pay if they wished to park at the town's Wharf Road car park.
However, free parking has now been announced for the car park in order to make it easier for Biddulph residents to receive their vaccines.
Free parking will be provided on Friday 15th and Saturday 16th January, with Biddulph's town and district Cllr Kevin Jackson working to organise this between the two councils.
Councillors have welcomed the announcement with fellow Biddulph town and district Cllr Jill Salt saying: "Good news regarding parking and vaccinations. Thanks to Cllr Jackson for sorting it."
Biddulph town and district Cllr Nigel Yates also added: "Excellent news, great work by Cllr Jackson. This allows anyone who arrives early to safely sit in their car keeping warm and socially distance whilst waiting for their appointment time."
