Biddulph Town Hall has been given an exciting new look ahead of the Platinum Jubilee celebrations this weekend.

The area around the town hall has been 'yarn bombed'!

A growing trend all over the country, yarnbombing involves covering objects or structures in public places with decorative knitted or crotcheted material, as a form of street art.

We reported earlier this week how a community yarn bombing event was due to be held in Biddulph.

Now the post pox outside the town hall, the noticeboard, bollards and the miners' wheel have all been covered in colourful knitted decorations.

A window display has also been put up inside the town hall.

A spokesperson for Biddulph Town Council said: "We're almost ready… well done to Sue Garvey and her fabulous volunteers for the amazing yarnbombing, and Kate Pugh for the window art."
