A community yarnbombing event is being held in Biddulph this week and everyone has been encouraged to turn up and give it a go.

A growing trend all over the country, yarnbombing involves covering objects or structures in public places with decorative knitted or crotcheted material, as a form of street art.

The event is taking place on Wednesday at Biddulph Town Hall from 1pm - 3pm, and entry is completely free.

People can have a go at making all kinds of wool crafts which will be displayed throughout July in a yarnbombing festival.

Children and adults are all welcome, and crafts supplies will be provided, as well as biscuits and juice.
