Man arrested on suspicion of drink driving after crash in Biddulph

A man has been arrested on suspicion of drink driving after a crash in Biddulph last night (Thursday 30th December).

The crash took place at around 9pm at the junction between Congleton Road and Smithy Lane in Biddulph.

It is understood that a car was flipped onto its roof as a result of the crash.

Police arrested a 47-year-old man, of no fixed address, on suspicion of drink driving, and a 44-year-old woman was taken to hospital for treatment, with injuries that are not believed to be serious.
