The Moorlands MP, Karen Bradley, has urged the FA to take action against fans who booed Prince William at this weekend's cup final.
Tens of thousands of fans packed into Wembley stadium on Saturday to watch Liverpool take on Chelsea at this year's FA Cup final.
Liverpool won on penalties, but another talking point from the match was fans who booed the national anthem and the appearance of Prince William.
Since the match, several Tory MPs have responded to the booing, including Moorlands MP Karen Bradley.
The local MP has urged the FA to "take all necessary action" against those who booed, calling it "utterly unacceptable and disgraceful".
She told the MailOnline: ""It is utterly unacceptable and disgraceful that football fans booed Prince William.
"I would urge the Football Association (The FA) to take all the necessary action, and pursue those responsible."
Another prominent politician to respond to the booing was Speaker of the House of Commons, Sir Lindsay Hoyle.
He called the booing "totally shameful" and highlighted that it took place in the year of the Platinum Jubilee.
Boris Johnson's official spokesman also weighed in, calling the booing "a great shame".
Former Arsenal and England defender Martin Keown also discussed the issue on TalkSport. He said: "I don't agree with it and it's not a good look, but I think this is historical and a class issue. The city of Liverpool feels it's been left behind.
"There is a feeling in that part of the world that they've been left behind, and I think they were voicing their opinion, which has led to this discontent."
But what do you think? Should fans be allowed to boo the national anthem? Do you agree or disagree with our local MP? Feel free to let us know in the comments on social media!
