Thanks to Biddulph Youth and Community Zone for submitting this article! They've told us all about their preparations to launch a new community garden in the town.

Great news - Biddulph Youth and Community Zone has been successful in winning a grant from the National Lottery and is set to launch its' new community garden.

It's for local people to come along, design and develop the community garden space.

We are looking to create ideas around growing fruit, veg, herbs and flowers as well as building spaces for activities, arts and crafts, learning and sharing skills, places to sit and relax and much more.

Donations will also be welcomed for items such as canes, roof tiles, bricks, breeze blocks, cavity wall blocks, pallets, logs for seats and wood chippings.

If you have any of these items pick and drop offs can be arranged, but please make arrangements before dropping off at the Zone with Sharon or Admin.

Local resident Sharon Middling will be coordinating the community garden project and if you are interested in supporting this great project please contact either Sharon at [email protected] and 07792041879 or Biddulph Youth and Community Zone at [email protected] and 01782 244288
