New survey aims to understand what's important to local young people

By Jack Lenton 28th Jul 2020

Staffordshire County Council, in partnership with the Staffordshire Youth Union, is hoping to find out more about local young people by asking them to fill out a new survey.

The council is aiming to find out more about what's important to young people and what makes their lives better.

The questionnaire asks for a variety of information about what makes young people feel positive and negative, and young people's views on their futures and communities.

Some of the survey's questions include...

  • Generally do you feel positive most of the time?
  • What are the top three things that make you feel the most positive?
  • What are the top three things that make you feel down?
  • Who would you turn to for help if you needed it?
  • Where/who would you look to for information, advice and guidance about something?
  • Do you have what you need to make your dreams/future plans happen?
  • What does the future look like for you?
  • Most people have the skills and knowledge to be happy, healthy and safe – do you think this is true for you?
  • Do you feel a part of the community where you live?
  • What does community mean to you?
  • What other communities are you part of?
