It's hoped that the launch of a new website for teens in Staffordshire will give a boost to young people's physical and mental health.

The Health for Teens website, launched by the Midlands Partnership NHS Foundation Trust, delivers interactive messages and advice, covering a range of topics from Coronavirus to online gaming.

The information on the site promotes health and wellbeing, with the aim of helping young people to make the right choices.

The site is aimed at 11 to 19-year-olds, and signposts to a number of children's and families services provided by the Trust, including:

  • The ChatHealth text messaging service to contact school nurses
  • Immunisations
  • Help to quit smoking
  • School Nursing Teams in Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent
  • Anxiety and mental health

More information about these services can be found here.

Claire Bailey, Managing Director for the Trust's Children and Families services said: "The site not only gives young people helpful health and wellbeing guidance, but can be accessed by parents, carers and teachers to utilise the variety of resources available such as interactive games, signpost to local health services or download relevant information materials. People can also search for contact details of their child's School Nursing Team."
