Police appeal after "suspicious incident" reported on Biddulph street

Police have appealed for information after a "suspicious incident" took place on a Biddulph street.

The incident took place yesterday evening (Tuesday) at around 7pm on Severn Close.

Police say two "suspicious persons" were seen in the area. Two men were seen knocking on the doors of several houses and "acting in a suspicious manner".

Officers have now asked anyone who may have seen anything suspicious in the area at the time to get in touch with them.

PCSO Stephen Sherratt, of Staffordshire Police's Moorlands team, said: "We have had reports of two suspicious persons seen in the local area.

"This was at approximately 7pm on 2nd February 2021.

"These persons were seen knocking on several houses, and acting in a suspicious manner.

"They are described as two males, one male described as short, aged about 45 - 50 wearing a black jacket and baseball cap, other male stocky built, wearing a black jacket.

"They did not have a local accent.

"These males were seen in a dark coloured vehicle with a registration number beginning with DA70.

"If you saw anything suspicious in the area please call Staffordshire Police on 101 quoting incident number 567 of 02/02/2021."
