Police appeal after "suspicious male" seen looking into trailers at 4am in Biddulph

Police have appealed for information after receiving reports of a "suspicious male" looking into trailers and trying their door handles in Biddulph.

Officers say he was seen just after 4am on Saturday morning on Church Close, and said he was looking for a dog when he was asked what he was doing.

Police have now asked anyone who may have seen anything suspicious at this time to get in touch with them.

PCSO Stephen Sherratt, of Staffordshire Police's Moorlands team, said: "We have had reports of a suspicious male in Church Close, Biddulph.

"This male was seen looking into a trailer parked on a driveway and then trying the door handles.

"Once he was seen, he made out he was looking for a dog.

"This happened on 6th February at 04:15am.

"Male was described as a white male approximately 5ft 8" tall aged approximately 30 with brown hair, wearing a grey and cream hoodie and green combat type trousers.

"If you saw anything suspicious please call Staffordshire Police on 101 quoting incident 143 of 06/02/2021."
