Police appeal after "suspicious person" seen checking car locks on Biddulph street

Police have appealed for information after a "suspicious person" was seen checking the door locks to a vehicle in Biddulph.
Police say the person was seen in the Brook Street area of Brown Lees, and the incident took place on the evening of Friday, 15th January.
The man was reportedly asked what he was doing by a member of the public, and replied that he wanted some water for his windscreen washers.
Police have now asked anyone who may have seen anything suspicious to contact them, and reminded residents to ensure their vehicles are secure.
PCSO Stephen Sherratt, of Staffordshire Police's Moorlands team, said: "We have had reports of a suspicious person around the Brook Street area, Brown Lees.
"At approx 21:00 hrs on 15/01/2021 a male was seen checking door locks to a vehicle, when questioned he stated he wanted some water for his windscreen washers.
"He was described as 5ft 10" Male, aged approximately 38-45 yrs old, wearing a bob hat and dressed all in black.
"Please check your vehicles around the area. If you saw anything suspicious in the area please call Staffordshire Police on 101 quoting incident 0712 16/01/2021."
