Police are appealing for information after a vehicle's windscreen was damaged by an item being thrown at it in Biddulph.

Police say the damage was caused on the driveway of a property on Duke Street at some time between Friday evening and Saturday morning.

The new appeal comes 10 days after police said they were keen to find" the owner of an owl ornament that was thrown at a car in Biddulph previously.

Biddulph Nub News reported previously how police appealed for information after a car was damaged while parked on St John's Road in Biddulph.

The damage was caused by a garden owl ornament being thrown at the car.

Now police say the latest vehicle was also damaged by a thrown item.

PCSO Peter Johnson, of Staffordshire Police's Biddulph team, said: "Police are appealing for information after a vehicle was damaged on the driveway of a property on Duke Street, Biddulph between 6pm, Friday 16th October and 9.30am, Saturday 17th October 2020.

"Unknown offender/offenders appeared to have thrown an item at the vehicle causing damage to the windscreen.

"If anyone has any information or CCTV (Duke St/Appleton Cl junction) they are asked to call Staffordshire Police on 101 and quote 373-17/10."

Police said following the earlier incident of an owl ornament being thrown at a car: "Anyone missing a garden owl ornament?

"We believe this ornament was used to damage a vehicle in St Johns Road, Biddulph last month.

"We are keen to find the owner so we can continue our enquiries.
