Police appeal after attempted theft of caravan in Biddulph

Police have appealed for information after five people were reportedly seen attempting to steal a caravan in Biddulph.

Officers say five people were seen attempting to unlock the caravan, which was in the Biddulph Park area.

The incident occurred at around 5pm yesterday (Monday, 9th November).

Police are now asking anyone who may have seen anything suspicious at this time to contact them.

PCSO Stephen Sherratt, of Staffordshire Police's Moorlands team, said: "We have had reports of an attempted theft of a caravan from the Biddulph Park area.

"It was approx. 17:00 hrs 09/11/2020.

"Five persons were seen at the rear of the caravan attempting to unlock the hitch of the caravan.

"Males were described as two wore balaclavas, one wearing a black mask, one was approx. 6ft 2" tall, with an Irish accent.

"They were in a new shape range rover but no VRN known at this time.

"If you saw anything suspicious in the area at the time please call Staffordshire Police on 101 quoting incident 499 09/10/2020."
