Police have asked vehicle owners in the Biddulph area to ensure their vehicles are secure after a spate of break-ins recently took place in Brown Lees.

The break-ins took place over the course of Thursday and Friday last week, and police have asked anyone who may have seen anything suspicious at this time to contact them.

The public have also been asked to double-check that their own vehicles have not been broken into.

PCSO Stephen Sherratt, of Staffordshire Police's Moorlands team, said on Friday: "Over the last 24 hours we have had several vehicles broken into in the Brown Lees area.

"This has happened during the evening of Thursday, 20th August and the morning of Friday, 21st August.

"Please check your vehicles to ensure they are secure and have not been broken into.

"If you saw anything suspicious during this time then call Staffordshire Police on 101 quoting incident 152 of 21st August."
