Police appeal after woman spotted scratching BMW parked on Biddulph street

Police have appealed for information following a report of a woman "using a sharp device" to scratch a car that was parked on a Biddulph street.

The incident took place yesterday on Mayfield Road.

Officers say a woman was seen on CCTV scratching a BMW on the road.

They've now asked anyone who may have any information to contact them.

A spokesperson for Staffordshire Police said: "Police were called to an address off Mayfield Road, Biddulph, yesterday (Monday 9 May) following reports of vehicle crime.

"According to CCTV footage, a woman was seen scratching a BMW 320 using a sharp device at around 9am yesterday (Monday 9 May).

"The woman is described as white, with black hair and seen wearing a black jacket and pumps.

"Inquiries are ongoing.

"If you were in the area at the time or have any information that could help the police with their inquiries, contact Staffordshire Police on Facebook, Twitter, or call 101, quoting incident number 692 of 9 May.

"Alternatively, contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."
