Police investigating after house and car fire in Biddulph

Detectives are investigating following a fire at a property in Biddulph in the early hours of this morning.

Police were called at 1am (Friday 3 July) to reports that a house and a car were on fire on Carriage Drive.

Officers, together with firefighters from Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service attended. Thankfully, no one was injured.

Detective Inspector Lucy Maskew, of CID North, said: "We want to hear from anyone in the area who may have seen two men acting suspiciously in the area of Carriage Drive between 12 midnight and 1am this morning (Friday), or may have CCTV or dash-cam footage to come forward."

Anyone with any information should message Staffordshire Police on Facebook or Twitter quoting incident number 24 of 3 July, call 101 or alternatively contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
