Local police officers have explained how they are tackling anti-social behaviour in Biddulph.

Sainsbury's carpark on Wharf Road is now subject to Section 59 of the Police Reform Act 2002 which means that any vehicle being used in a careless or anti-social manner can be seized immediately by an officer without any further warning.

PC Oliver Neville said: "This measure has been put in place due to recent incidents where anti-social use of vehicles has taken place on the site and in surrounding roads.

"We will continue to work with the community to tackle issues affecting where they live. I would urge anyone with information relating to nuisance vehicles to contact us by sending a message to Staffordshire Police on Facebook or Twitter or calling 101."
