Police have issued Acceptable Behaviour Contracts to two males after damage was caused to a park in Brown Edge.

Officers updated residents on their activity yesterday afternoon (Sunday 27th December), explaining that anti-social behaviour "will not be tolerated".

A spokesperson for Staffordshire Police's Moorlands team said: "PCSO Peacock has issued Acceptable Behaviour Contracts to two males in Brown Edge for the damage caused at the local park.

"Antisocial behaviour and criminal damage will not be tolerated in our community. Ring 101 or speak to local officers to report antisocial behaviour."

What are Acceptable Behaviour Contracts?

An Acceptable Behaviour Contract is a voluntary written agreement which is signed by an individual committing anti-social behaviour.

By signing the contract they are agreeing to abide by the terms in the contract and work with the relevant support agencies.

Whilst, an Acceptable Behaviour Contract is not legally binding, if breached, it can be used as evidence to illustrate that enforcement action is required as the non-legal tools have been unable to successfully tackle the problem.
