Police renew appeal after 14-year-old girl grabbed by man in Biddulph

Police have renewed their appeal for witnesses after a teenager was approached by a man in Biddulph.

Biddulph Nub News reported previously how police were investigating after a teenage girl was approached last week.

Now police have issued a new appeal, as well as releasing more information about the incident.

A 14-year-old girl reported being followed sometime between 5.30pm and 5.45pm on Monday, 7th September along Congleton Road onto Thames Drive.

She was then grabbed by the grass area near to Biddulph Leisure Centre before running away.

The man is described as white, slim, 5ft 10ins – 6ft tall with a dark coloured beard.

He was wearing a hood pulled around his face, a teal coloured puffa coat and dark tracksuit bottoms.

An investigation is on-going and local neighbourhood officers continue to patrol the area.

Any witnesses or anyone who may have seen a man matching the description is asked to call 101 or report online quoting incident number 550 of 07 September.
