Police say they have "dealt with" a 54-year-old man regarding an incident of attempted criminal damage outside Biddulph High School.

Nub News reported recently how Biddulph High School warned parents and students to be vigilant after nails and screws were left on a driveway outside the school in a "mindless act".

The school asked those who visited recently to check their tyres for damage after learning of the incident.

Staffordshire Police then confirmed that they were investigating the incident.

In an update yesterday (Saturday 19th March), officers said they have spoken to a 54-year-old man regarding the incident.

A spokesperson for Staffordshire Police's Moorlands team said: "Local Biddulph NPT officers have tonight dealt with a 54 year old male in relation to attempting to cause criminal damage near to Biddulph High School.

They added: "We will not tolerate any thoughtless acts that impact on our community and in our policing area."
