Staffordshire Police have confirmed they are investigating an incident of nails and screws being left on the driveway to a Biddulph school.
Nub News reported recently how Biddulph High School warned parents and students to be vigilant after nails and screws were left on a driveway outside the school in a "mindless act".
The school has asked those who visited recently to check their tyres for damage after learning of the incident.
In a post on its social media pages earlier this week, the school said that after checking its CCTV cameras, it had confirmed that the items were not left by one of its students.
The school said that the nails and screws were being scattered "at all times of the day and evening" and that they had reported the incident to the police.
Staffordshire Police have now confirmed that they are investigating the incident.
A spokesperson for Staffordshire Police told Nub News: "Officers were called to a school near Park Lane, Knypersley, on Monday (14 March), following a spate of reported incidents.
"It is understood that offenders are continuing to leave nails and screws at the entrance of the premises.
"No damage has been caused and officers are currently conducting local enquiries.
"Anyone who has any information should contact us on Facebook, Twitter, or call 101. Alternatively, contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111."
