Rapid Coronavirus testing is coming to Biddulph tomorrow, with local residents who aren't currently showing symptoms of the virus being encouraged to book online.

The tests have been organised by Staffordshire County Council, who say they are aiming to find out how much the virus is circulating in local communities.

The tests will take place tomorrow (Tuesday, 1st December) in Biddulph Town Hall from 9.30am - 1pm.

One hundred places have been made available for the tests, but they must be booked in advance online.

Only people who are not showing symptoms of the virus should book a test.

A spokesperson for Staffordshire County Council said: "We all need to do everything we can to stop Covid-19 in its tracks.

"One of the ways we can do this is by finding out how much the virus is circulating in the local community.

"We do this by testing people who aren't currently showing any symptoms of Covid-19.

"We're calling on you to help us with this work, by getting tested if you don't currently have any symptoms.

"Testing is quick and free, and is taking place in your area on Tuesday 1st December:

Biddulph Town Hall, High Street, Biddulph, ST8 6AR 9:30AM - 1PM.

"100 places for each location are available, but must be booked in advance."
