Staffordshire County Council election: All the Biddulph stats as Conservatives retain control

With ballot papers being cast on Thursday and votes counted at the eight boroughs and districts across the county over the weekend, the dust has now settled on Staffordshire County Councils elections.
With all of the results now being announced, the Conservatives have retained control of the council with an increased majority.
With all 62 seats contested, the Conservatives won 57 compared to Labour's four, with the remaining seat being taken by an Independent.
This will be the fourth consecutive four-year term in charge of the County Council for the Conservatives following 2009, 2013 and 2017.
The Conservatives entered the election holding 50 seats, with 10 for Labour and two independent councillors.
In total, 243 candidates stood in 60 divisions for election to the 62 seats available, with 32 seats needed to provide a majority in the council chamber.
Two seats were contested in Biddulph - one in Biddulph North, and one in Biddulph South and Endon, but the town's two previous Conservative county councillors Ian Lawson and Keith Flunder remained in their positions for another term.
Both councillors received 58% of the vote - with 1,803 votes going to Cllr Flunder and 1,819 votes going to Cllr Lawson.
In Biddulph North, Labour candidate Nigel Yates finished in second place and received 1,127 votes - a a share of 36%. Green Party candidate Ian Waite received 213 votes - a 7% share.
3,159 votes were cast in Biddulph North, and 18 ballot papers were spoiled.
In Biddulph South and Endon, second placed candidate Jill Salt, standing for Labour, received 876 votes, equating to a 28% share. Liberal Democrat candidate John Redfern received 406 votes - a 13% share.
The ward received a total of 3,085 votes and 31 ballot papers were spoiled.
