Police have asked anyone with information or CCTV footage to contact them after suspicious men "took some interest in a new caravan" on Grange Road in Biddulph.

The incident took place on Friday, and came just a few days after a caravan was stolen from Overton Road on the outskirts of the town.

Biddulph Nub News reported recently how the caravan was taken from Overton Road last Monday, and may have been towed away towards the Leek area.

Following the latest Grange Road incident, police have asked caravan owners to ensure that their property is well secured.

PCSO Laura Peacock of Staffordshire Police said: "There has been a report of a suspicious incident that took place on 28th August at 4:40pm in the area of Grange Road in Biddulph.

"It involves two males described as white, aged mid to late 20s and wearing scruffy clothes.

"One of the males has heavily tattooed arms and wearing a woolly hat. The other male was wearing a baseball cap backwards.

"The males were looking onto a property and took some interest in a new caravan."

She continued: "In recent weeks there has been numerous incidents involving caravans in the area and one being a theft from the Overton Road area.

"Caravan owners please be vigilant and make sure they are secured with the good security equipment.

"If anyone has any CCTV in the area or saw anyone acting suspiciously please contact Staffordshire Police on 101 quoting incident number 151 of 29th August."
