The most needed items at Biddulph's foodbank and how you can donate

Local News by Jack Lenton 10th Aug 2022

Biddulph's foodbank is currently running low on several items with advice being given on how people can donate.

The foodbank, which is run from Biddulph's churches including St Lawrence's Church, St John's Church and English Martyrs RC Church, is in need of five items in particular.

They are:

  • Tinned soup
  • Tinned desserts
  • Mash
  • Biscuits
  • Pasta sauces

People can donate items at any of the churches in Biddulph and Biddulph Moor, and you can also donate items at the town's Sainsbury's and Aldi supermarkets.

Biddulph town Cllr Charlie Smith has given more information on how donations are collected.

She said: "If you donate at Sainsbury's or Aldi please think about adding these items [listed above].

"If you donate at Aldi Biddulph, the foodbank collects on Thursday and Friday mornings. We receive anything donated after 1pm on Wednesday and Thursday.

"You can drop food donations off at any of the Biddulph and Biddulph Moor churches. Many thanks for your continued support."

More information on the Biddulph food banks, including collection times and volunteering opportunities, is available on the Stoke-on-Trent foodbank website here.
