With the turmoil being experienced in Ukraine since the Russian invasion back in February, many people in Biddulph and all over the country have taken the admirable step of helping in any way they can.
Some have decided to donate much needed items to the war-torn country, while others have even gone as far as offering accommodation to Ukrainian refugees as guests in their homes.
One Biddulph group however, have decided to help Ukraine in a unique way - by knitting their own children's clothes and then donating them.
Biddulph Local People's Group have been busy knitting and crocheting items for the children of Ukraine.
The group explained that the items will be donated to children in need of clothing in Ukraine, and they are even making small knitted toys with the aim of providing comfort for the children.
The group have already worked hard to create some soft toys and items for newborn babies up to 3 months old, however, they are looking for volunteers to help them knit and donate even more items.
Anyone with knitting experience has been asked to come along and lend their talents to the group and support a good cause.
The group meets at Biddulph Town Hall every Tuesday and at Biddulph Youth and Community Zone every Thursday. Both meetings take place between 10am and 12pm.
A spokesperson for the group said: "Biddulph Local People's Group have been busy knitting and crocheting items for the children of Ukraine.
"We will be giving to those children in need of clothing and we will be giving small knitted toys as a form of comfort.
"We have already worked hard to create some soft toys and items for newborn babies up to 3 months old.
"If you can knit or crochet and would like to support this cause, please feel free to drop in to see us."
