A two car crash meant one of Biddulph's main roads was blocked to motorists temporarily at the weekend.

Congleton Road in Biddulph was blocked yesterday (Sunday, 23rd May), in a situation that residents described as "bedlam".

The crash took place near St Lawrence's Church on Congleton Road, blocking motorists travelling to and from Congleton and Biddulph.

As a result many motorists instead used Hurst Road near Biddulph Moor, causing increased traffic on the alternative route.

The crash took place at around 10:30am on Sunday, with police arriving at the scene shortly afterwards to direct traffic, while other emergency services attended to the crash.

The road is now cleared for motorists to use again as normal.
