Biddulph's Town Crier John Robinson has led the tributes to a local vicar ahead of his move away from the town.
Steve Dyson, vicar at St Lawrence's Church, is leaving Biddulph to become Associate Vicar in the Kingswood and Hanham Team Ministry in Bristol.
The church have paid their tributes to Steve along with several of the town's most well known community figures.
Biddulph Town Crier John Robinson issued a proclamation outside the church to wish Steve and his family well ahead of the move - as can be seen in the video above.
His proclamation came in the form of a poem, which read: "I'm here to make this proclamation, in front of the St Lawrence congregation, about a minister who's about to leave, I'm referring of course to Reverend Steve.
"You've been here four years give or take, and now big strides you have to make, to Bristol no less so far away, I guarantee you'll never run all the way.
"With Eley and the girls you've a new beginning, a new congregation's hearts you'll soon be winning, but Bristol's gain is our loss, we're going to miss you Reverend boss.
"You prayed at Town Council before a full meeting, even though your appearances were often fleeting, at the start of proceedings you'd offer a prayer, and ask for good manners then give them your stare.
"So Reverend Steve you're off to pastures new, and all I ask is you take away with you, good memories of Biddulph and the people within, the people you've helped through thick and thin.
"There's no doubt you've been an inspiration to all, thank goodness you've answered the good Lord's call, stay safe Reverend Steve as we bid you adieu, remember the love of the people in everything you do."
Tributes have also been paid by Biddulph's mayor, Cllr John Jones, and Chair of Biddulph Churches Together, Mark Holdcroft. They were also uploaded to YouTube, and can be watched here.
Cllr Jones said: "You've done a sterling job for the town and I will miss you. We wish you all the best in everything you do, take care, stay safe and come back to see us now and again."
Mr Holdcroft added: "We've really appreciated Steve and Eley being with us for the last four years. They have done so much, and have been a real blessing to us all.
"We're sad to see you go, and we thank you for all you have done for the area."
A photo montage has also been uploaded in tribute to Steve, which can be seen here.
